Viehhofen is a real insider tip for holidays spent in SalzburgerLand, one of the most interesting regions in all of the Alps, both in summer and in winter! In winter, you are just an easy 5-minute, 4 km ride on the free ski shuttle from the gateway to the slopes of Saalbach/Hinterglemm-Leogang, home to 55 lifts  and over 200 km of groomed ski slopes, with more than 90 % serviced by snowmaking equipment as needed. The ideal conclusion to a perfect day of skiing is provided by the region's longest hill, which, at 7.5 km, takes you all the way back to the center of Viehhofen.  Of course, skiing isn't the only joy that winter brings: tobogganing, ice skating, cross-country skiing, ice stock, sleigh rides, snowshoeing and winter hiking guarantee your every wish will come true!

Summer in Viehhofen brings with it peace and quiet, recreation and pristine countryside amidst the highest grass-topped mountains in Europe.  Cultural and sporting activities, countless adventures and new experiences, beautiful sights and attractions, an extensive network of cycle paths and mountain bike trails, as well as Harvest Festival weeks from mid August until mid October, promise vacations that are invigorating, relaxing and filled with variety.
