Daily Activities in Winter

• Ice Stock, alpine-style curling at the Viehhofen ice-stock rink: By reservation only, contact Mr. Robert Bschellinger,

• Archery: The Glemmerhof archery course is also open in winter.  You can take aim at 28 lifelike animals with your bow and arrow, great fun for the whole family!  Equipment is available to rent.
• Quad and Buggy Rides: daily from 10 a.m. on, for children and adults! 
• Public Internet: Internet Corner € 0.50 / 10 min. in the reception area at Landal Rehrenberg
• Children's Program: Sunday through Friday from 9 a.m. until noon and from 2 until 5 p.m., for children ages 3 and up (must be out of diapers).  Registration: reception at Landal Rehrenberg, half-day price € 5.00, all-day € 8.50

ACTIVITIES IN SUMMER

• SUNDAY
  Intro to quadding at the Glemmy Offroad Park between 10 a.m. and noon, € 5 for 5 minutes
• SUNDAY 11.07. - 28.08.
  Open-air concert with the Maishofen town band at the bandstand beginning 8 p.m. 
• MONDAY 17.05. - 25.10.
  Free guided tour of Zell am See, meets 10 a.m. at the town hall 
• MONDAY 28.06. – 30.08. Fabulous Night of Water, meets 8 p.m. and heads out at 8:15 to Sigmund Thun Gorge / Kaprun.
  Price incl. torch & baked potato: adults € 5, children accompanied by a parent free, otherwise € 2.  Guided hike by torchlight through the gorge, followed by the romance of a campfire!
• MONDAY July / August Hinterglemmer Gasslfest from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m., only in good weather!
  Opportunity to sample traditional Gasslfest favorites, bacon, schnapps specialties, honey, country doughnuts, plus regional crafts, creative activities for big and small, performances by the Viehhofen heritage society 
• TUESDAY July / August
  Children's folk dancing with the Viehhofen heritage society, at Restaurant Dorfstadl incl. Grill Night, from 6.45 until 7:30 p.m. 
• TUESDAY 08.06. - 05.10.
  Kaprun high-mountain reservoirs, guided tour for kids at 1:15 p.m. to see the inner workings of the dam wall, led by mascot Tobias the Turbine. Free for children up to age 15!
• TUESDAY 13.07. - 20.07. and 03. - 17.08.2010
  Castle Spectacular - Kaprun Castle opens its gates at 8 p.m. for its annual medieval spectacular.  Amidst knights, jugglers, peasants and fanfares, visitors get to experience first-hand a little piece of history - "old-fashioned" fun for young and old.
• WEDNESDAY 07.07. – 25.08.
  Summer Night Festival in Zell, town center of Zell beginning at 8 p.m.  Enjoy great entertainment, outstanding music groups and southern flair, here in the heart of the Europa Sports Region. Other highlights: arts & crafts, children's attractions, artists and performers, free admission!

  Live music at Restaurant Dorfstadl in Viehhofen beginning 7 p.m. 
• THURSDAY 12.08. - 09.09.
  Salzburg Heritage Evening incl. popular melodies of the Alps, folk dancing, glockenspiel and much more, hosted by the Viehhofen heritage society. Begins 8:30 p.m. at the F. Porsche Congress Center in Zell am See, adults € 9, children up to age 15 free

  Street-Painting Festival on Saalbach village square, 4 - 9 p.m., in bad weather on the 2nd floor of Saalbach Tourist Office

  Gathering of folk musicians at Schloss Kammer, Maishofen, beginning at 8 p.m.

  Farmers' Market: on the town square in Zell am See from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., the market stands will be filled with local specialties such as bacon, Pinzgau bread and regional cheeses.  You won't be able to resist these mouthwatering temptations!
• FRIDAY April until October
  Weekly market from 8 a.m. - noon on the Rathausplatz in Saalfelden, featuring local specialties.
