    Westautobahn Vienna - Salzburg (A 1), exit Wals-Lofer, border crossing ..., continue via Bad Reichenhall to Steinpass border crossing, Lofer, on towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen.

    or

    Westautobahn Vienna - Salzburg (A 1) to Knoten Salzburg interchange, then via the Tauernautobahn (A 10) towards Villach, Knoten Bischofshofen interchange, on the Pinzgauer Bundesstrasse (B 311) in the direction of Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen.

  • Germany
    Autobahn Munich - Salzburg (A8) as far as the Siegsdorf exit. From there, continue in the direction of Inzell as far as the Lofer turn-off.  You will cross the border at the Steinpass. From Lofer, drive via Saalfelden towards Zell am See. In Maishofen, you will come to the turn-off for Glemmtal Valley, at which point you are only 6 km from Viehhofen. (toll-free!)

    Tauernautobahn Villach - Salzburg (A10), Knoten Bischofshofen interchange, on the Pinzgauer Bundesstrasse (B 311) in the direction of Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen.

    Tauernautobahn Villach - Salzburg (A10), to Spittal, taking the first exit for the motorail loading terminal in Mallnitz - from Böckstein continue on the Pinzgauer Bundesstrasse (B 311) towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Viehhofen.

    Brennerautobahn (A 13) towards Innsbruck, exit Innsbruck Ost and continue on the Inntalautobahn (A 12) towards Wörgl, exit Wörgl West, continue on Bundesstrasse 312 to Saalfelden, Maishofen, Viehhofen.

Train - Rail

  • The nearest railway station is in Zell am See.  For train timetables and additional information, please contact Austrian Railways. Once in Zell am See, take the post bus, which departs once an hour, to Viehhofen. There is also a taxi stand right outside the station in Zell am See.
