Hiking

You will be able to enjoy our alpine panoramas, along with the countless smaller, though quite beautiful details of our countryside.  In the process, you will make your way up to elevations far beyond 2,000 m.  And even when you get to the mountaintops, as often as not you will discover alpine pastures and meadows, and only rarely rocky crags, which means you will be able to reach practically every summit cross without a problem!  On the way there, you will have ample time for rest breaks, be that next to a clear mountain tarn, or enjoying some refreshments at one of the many mountain huts.

One special service awaits you: many of our mountain lifts continue to run in summer, providing you with quick, relaxing transportation to higher elevations. Before you know it, you will reach the first peak, at which point there's nothing holding you back from hiking out along the ridgeline to the second, third, fourth and more!

And if you have even loftier ambitions, the high peaks of the Hohe Tauern are ready and waiting for you with countless mountaineering adventures beyond the 3,000 m mark.

But before you head out to spend a beautiful day in the mountains, please take some time and read the rules for safe hiking in the mountains!
