The fairy tale forest in Hinterglemm is a magical place for young and old where you can immerse yourself in the world of fairy tales. On a one kilometer long forest path you will meet the well-known characters from the stories of Mrs. Holle, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and many others. The wooden figures are lovingly carved and detailed. There are also funny forest gnomes, idyllic water wheels and exciting play stations to discover. The fairytale forest is a real tip for families and fairytale lovers because it offers you an unforgettable experience all year round. You can visit the fairy tale forest for free at any time and be enchanted by the magic of fairy tales. The fairytale forest is also illuminated in the evening and accessible in winter, so you can enjoy the fairytale atmosphere in any weather and at any time of day. The entrance to the fairytale forest is directly in front of the sports center in Hinterglemm, where you can also park. This is a place where you can relive your childhood dreams.

If you arrive by car, drive from Viehhofen on the Glemmtaler Landesstraße L111 towards Saalbach-Hinterglemm. After about 10 km you will reach Hinterglemm. The entrance to the fairytale forest is right in front of the sports center, where you can also park. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes.

By bike you can take the same route as by car or use the cycle path along the Saalach, which is a little longer but has more scenic views. The cycle path takes you through meadows and forests, past small towns and farms. The cycle path is well signposted and suitable for all types of bicycles. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes.
If you like hiking, you can also reach the fairytale forest on foot. There are several hiking trails that lead from Viehhofen to the fairytale forest and take you through the forest, over bridges and along streams to your destination.
By bus you just have to take line 680 which goes to Hinterglemm Lindlinghof. The journey only takes 21 minutes and you get off near the Waldstadion. From there it is just a few steps to the fairytale forest. The bus runs every hour and is free with the Viehhofen Sommercard.

But that's not all: there are two other attractions right in Hinterglemm that you shouldn't miss: the family park and the mini golf course. The family park is a leisure facility that has something to offer for young and old. You can refresh yourself in the Kneipp facility, test your skills on the go-kart track (for a fee) or let off steam on the many other play equipment. The family park also invites you to linger and relax.

If you fancy a sporting challenge, you can try your hand at the mini golf course. The facility consists of 12 lanes that blend harmoniously into nature. You play on artificial turf and wood and experience an authentic mini golf feeling. Rackets will be handed out on site - up to one hour before closing time.
