Motor Skills Path in Saalbach

Show your skill, balance and fitness!

The motor skills trail in Saalbach is a unique experience for anyone who enjoys exercise and nature. The trail runs along the Saalach promenade between Jausern and Saalbach and offers 24 stations that train dexterity, balance and fitness. Whether spider nets, stretching oasis, alpine water ski wall or kitesurf simulator - there is no room for boredom here. The motor skills trail is accessible free of charge and suitable for all age groups.

The trail is based on a Motorik Dreams concept (according to sports scientist Dr Roland Werthner) and offers you an ideal opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscape and do something good for your health at the same time.

You can visit the motor skills trail from spring until the first onset of winter in late autumn. It is approx. 5 km long and can be walked in both directions. At the stations, you will find signs and instructions showing you how to do the exercises. The levels of difficulty are labelled from easy to difficult so that you can adapt to your own level. The motor skills trail is more than just sporting fun, it is also a place of learning where you can improve your motor skills and gain new experiences.

The motor skills trail in Saalbach is a great experience for anyone who enjoys being active in nature.

How to get there:

If you are in a hurry or want to travel in comfort, you can go by car. The quickest route is via the L111 and L112. The journey takes about 10 minutes and is 6.5 kilometres long.

If you enjoy cycling and want to get some exercise, you can take the cycle path along the Saalach, which leads from Viehhofen to Saalbach Jausern. The cycle tour takes around 25 minutes and is 7.5 km long.

If you are a real hiking fan and want to experience nature up close, you can also go on foot. There are various hiking trails that lead from Viehhofen to the Motorikweg. One beautiful route is the Saalbach Uferweg to Jausern, which is 10 kilometres long and takes around 3 hours.

If you want to protect the environment and save money, you can take the bus. With the Viehhofen Sommercard, which you can obtain from participating hosts, you can travel throughout the Pinzgau region by public transport. You can take bus route 680, which runs between Saalbach and Zell am See. The bus journey takes about 15 minutes and you have to get off at the Jausern stop. From there it is about a 3-minute walk to the Motorikweg.
