The small village of Viehhofen is nestled in the mountains in one of the most beautiful regions in Austria, located between the bustling tourist resorts of Zell am See - Kaprun and Saalbach Hinterglemm. Viehhofen is situated in the centre of the Glemmtal (Glemm valley) in Salzburger Land, on a sunny hillside at the foot of the Pinzgauer mountains at 856 metres above sea level.
From the peaks, there are impressive views to the imposing mountains in the Hohe Tauern National Park, including the Grossglockner, Austria's highest mountain.
Viehhofen is the ideal location for various activities and adventures. Our guests are able to enjoy the amenities in the neighbouring resorts, while at the same time enjoying the peaceful location of the alpine village Viehhofen. Viehhofen is unique in the way that there is no mass tourism and tourists are welcomed as personal guests and not just foreign visitors.
These factors contribute to Viehhofen being ideal for families as well as those in search of a relaxing and restful holiday.
