The Grossglockner High Alpine Road offers an exciting, congestion-free alternative to the A10 motorway, which is currently undergoing a major upgrade. This route is an excellent choice, especially during the periods when the A10 is reduced to one lane (end of April to end of October, except July and August).

- Guests must be able to present a booking confirmation from a regional accommodation provider.
- during the A10 tunnel refurbishment, when the A10 can only be driven on in one lane.

By car:
From Viehhofen take the B311 towards Zell am See. Continue until you reach Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße. From Bruck follow the B107, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, which takes you directly into the high alpine landscape. This picturesque route offers spectacular views along the way and takes you through some of the most beautiful areas of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
By public transport:
From Viehhofen, take the Glocknerbus, which runs during the summer season and takes you directly to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. The Glocknerbus is ideal for tourists and stops at several important points along the route, giving you the opportunity to explore the landscape at your leisure.
Vicinity:
There are many attractions and activities along the route to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. Two nearby highlights are the Ferleiten Wildlife Park and the Woferlgut Adventure Resort.
Just before the start of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road is the Ferleiten Wildlife Park, a great destination for families with children. Covering an area of around 15 hectares, the park is home to over 200 species of Alpine animals in naturalistic enclosures. The park also has a large playground that will make children's hearts beat faster, as well as catering facilities for a relaxing break.
The Woferlgut Adventure Resort in Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße is a fantastic destination that offers a wide range of leisure activities. A particular highlight is the adventure golf course, which provides an exciting challenge for visitors of all ages. The golf course is themed and incorporates elements of the alpine landscape, offering a unique playing experience in the midst of the mountains.
