A Christmas Like Long Ago

Outside the window, the snowflakes swirl wide,
I’d love to be home, with a child’s joy inside.
I’d listen to Grandpa, his stories he’d share,
Of Christkind descending from Heaven to here.
A Christmas like long ago,
With a tree, all aglow,
With angels so fair,
And a star shining there.
A Christmas like long ago,
So peaceful, so bright,
So blessed and light,
That’s my wish tonight.

On holy night’s eve, we gathered near,
With Mother and Father in festive gear.
From the parlor next door came a bright, ringing chime,
The tree full of wonder, waiting in time.

According to the motto "Christmas as it used to be", we will once again be racing between the fire station and Gasthof Glemmerhof this year.

There are various stations along the way to pause and join in:

• brass band
• Chestnut roasting
• Parish distillery
• Christmas stories
• Craft workshop for children with Christmas mail
•  Choral singing
• a kiss under the mistletoe and
• Cosy get-together in front of the Glemmerhof

The entrance fee for this Adventroas is a special thermo mug, which can be filled with mulled wine or tea free of charge on the way. A portion of delicious chestnuts is also included.
All those who still have thermo mugs from last year are welcome to take them with them. A "2024" sticker is valid as admission.

Admission price incl. thermo mug:
from 16 years € 18,00
from 6 years € 10,00

Admission price without thermo cup:
from 16 years € 12,00
from 6 years € 5,00

The thermo mugs are available at the starting points Feuerwehrhaus and Gasthof Glemmerhof. In addition, all participants will be equipped with torches for this contemplative Roas.

The Adventroas can be visited from 04:00 - 08:00 pm.
Last admission: 07:30 pm at the fire station or Gasthof Glemmerhof.

Snacks and drinks can be purchased in front of Gasthof Glemmerhof (not included in the entrance fee).
Shuttle back to Viehhofen on request.
We look forward to spending some reflective hours together.
